New Vloggi contributor attribution

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Major platform release introduces capture-path evidence, auditable consent records, submission receipts and more reliable mobile video collection

SYDNEY, Australia — 3 August 2026 — Video crowdsourcing pioneer Vloggi has launched a major platform update designed to restore trust in video created by real people.

As audiences become increasingly wary of synthetic, anonymous and misattributed content, Vloggi now gives teams a clearer record of every contributed video: who submitted it, how it entered the platform, what permissions were granted and whether signs of editing or recompression were detected.

New attribution, consent and video-origin tools introduced this month into the Vloggi platform help organizations demonstrate that their content comes from real people. The result is a stronger chain of trust connecting the person behind the camera with the organization publishing their story.

“Human-generated video is becoming more valuable precisely because it is human,” Vloggi founder Justin Wastnage said.

“But simply saying that a video came from a real customer, employee or community member is no longer enough. Organisations need attribution, consent and evidence of origin—and contributors deserve to have their work recognized properly.”

Vloggi’s latest release brings those signals together. Contributor consent forms and content-assignment records establish permission to use each video. Unique submission references and downloadable receipts create a lasting record of delivery. New Device Data fields shows whether footage was captured through Vloggi, uploaded from a device or passed through editing software.

Original source files are preserved for integrity analysis, while private contributor information and sensitive device data remain protected.

Together, these capabilities help organisations show that their videos are not anonymous pieces of content. They are attributable contributions from real people, submitted with consent and supported by a meaningful record of their origin.

Real people, properly attributed

Vloggi was built to help organizations collect video from customers, employees, communities and other contributors. The latest release makes the connection between each video and its creator clearer and more accountable.

Every successful submission can now receive a unique reference and downloadable receipt recording when the contribution was received, the project it belongs to and the number of files submitted.

Consent is linked directly to the completed upload session. Vloggi retains the contributor’s acceptance time, declarations, consent wording and content-assignment evidence as an auditable record.

Contributor-facing disclosures also identify the organization responsible for the content and explain Vloggi’s role in processing it.

This gives publishers a stronger foundation for responsible use while giving contributors greater clarity about where their video is going and how it will be used.

Evidence of how a video was created

A new Device Data view helps teams understand how each video entered Vloggi.

It can show whether a video was recorded through the Vloggi camera, uploaded as an existing file or received without recorded source information. It also surfaces camera-origin signals, editing-software markers, recording-time consistency and signs of recompression.

Alongside contributor identity and consent records, this creates a practical body of evidence supporting the authenticity and provenance of human-generated video.

A better experience for contributors

The release also makes it easier for people to record and submit video from their phones.

Uploads are more reliable, particularly for large mobile video files, and contributors can see clear progress while their files are prepared and transferred. Improved mobile camera capture is now full 1080p HD from all compatible devices , while new post-submission controls make recording and reviewing a contribution simpler.

Organizations can now tailor the journey after submission with custom thank-you messages, calls to action and optional redirects. Contributors can also remain on the confirmation page and retain their submission reference or receipt.

Video collection built around people

Vloggi has clarified its four principal video workflows:

  • Contribution for an individual video submission
  • Collection for multiple videos submitted together
  • Capture for a prompted video response
  • Conversation for a guided video questionnaire

Each workflow gives organizations greater control over recording, prerecorded uploads, accepted formats, file limits, orientation and mobile participation.

New submission webhooks can also connect Vloggi with customer relationship management, marketing and other business systems as soon as a contribution arrives.

Restoring confidence in what we watch

The release reflects a larger shift in the value of video. As generating synthetic footage becomes easier, content with a documented human source becomes more meaningful.

Vloggi gives teams the infrastructure to collect that content responsibly—and to retain the attribution, consent and origin information that makes it trustworthy.

The new capabilities are now live across Vloggi platform and come a month after the company introduced Contest – public galleries of user-generated video for use in competitions and public-facing video content walls.
