Inviting Collaborators to Vote on a Video Contest: A Collaborative Judging Process

2 min read

Once a team has launched a video contest and received entries, it’s time to initiate the judging phase. By inviting collaborators, such as staff, team members, adjudicators, or selected judges, the team can leverage diverse perspectives to evaluate and vote on the best entries.

1. Inviting Collaborators #

  • To invite collaborators, navigate to studio.vloggi.com/my-team by clicking on the “My Account” button located at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  • Next, invite collaborators by adding their email addresses and selecting “Collaborator” from the dropdown menu.
  • Specify which projects you wish to grant access to by selecting them from the provided list.

Collaborators are provided access to a special version of the project, specifically designed for judging purposes. This version ensures that no personal details or contributor data are revealed, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.

2. Reviewing Video Submissions #

Collaborators can view all video submissions within the project, evaluating each entry based on predefined criteria and objectives. The focus remains solely on the quality and merit of the videos, without any biases or external influences.

3. Casting Votes and Leaving Comments #

  • Each collaborator is allotted one vote, enabling them to select their top choices among the entries. Project admins and team members can monitor the cumulative vote tally, providing transparency and accountability throughout the judging process.
  • Collaborators also have the option to leave comments on individual entries, offering constructive feedback and insights. These comments are visible only to project admins, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.

4. Collaborator Limits and Registration Process #

  • There is no limit to the number of collaborators who can participate in the judging process. However, each collaborator must register to access the judging platform.
  • Collaborators count towards the overall user total for each team, but for corporate users, this limit is unlimited, allowing for extensive collaboration and engagement.

By leveraging the collaborative judging platform in Vloggi, users can harness the collective expertise and perspectives of collaborators to identify the most outstanding video entries. This inclusive and transparent approach ensures fairness and integrity in the evaluation process, ultimately leading to the recognition of deserving contributions.
