Using Vloggi’s QR Codes to Collect Video Footage at Physical Events: A Comprehensive Guide

Convention delegate scanning a QR-code poster inviting event videos, with an example Hawaii trip prize.
Fictional details

Give guests a direct route to your video form with the project’s QR code. They scan it with their phone camera and open the browser-based submission experience.

Get the project QR code

  1. Open the project in Vloggi Studio.
  2. Select Collaborate → Shareable Upload Link.
  3. Use the QR-code option provided for that project.
  4. Save the code for your event artwork and keep the matching upload link with it.

Make the invitation clear

Place a short call to action next to the code: “Share your event highlight” or “Tell us what you learned.” Explain how the footage will be used and mention any genuine deadline or incentive.

Prepare artwork that scans well

Keep clear space around the code, use strong contrast and size it for the viewing distance. Check the final printed or displayed version with a phone before distributing it. Include a readable alternative link where practical.

Where to use it

  • Conference screens and delegate packs for questions or feedback.
  • Retail counters for product experiences.
  • Venue signage for guest stories.
  • Event follow-up messages for people who want to contribute later.

Review incoming footage

Open Curate → Project Video Library to review submissions, consent details and contributor answers. Select suitable footage for your output; a QR submission does not automatically make a clip public.

Reuse the right code

The QR code points to its project. Keep using it when collecting into that same project, or obtain the new project’s code for a separate event. Confirm the project is open for submissions and its brief, dates and thank-you message match the campaign.
