Overview:
When a contributor uploads a video, the original file is made available as “raw video.” This option is especially useful if you need the video in its native format—be it vertical, square, or high-resolution (like 4K).
Default Processing vs. Raw Files:
- Default Version:
- Lower resolution videos are automatically upscaled to 1080p in a landscape format.
- Vertical videos are converted with pillarboxing (using blurred edges) on either side.
- Brand watermarks and any user-collected data (e.g., contributor names for attribution) are burned in.
- These versions are saved as either SD (720p) or HD (1080p) files.
- Raw Version:
- Provides you with the original uploaded file, unaltered.
- Ideal for when you need flexibility in aspect ratios or higher resolutions (vertical, square, or 4K).
How to Download Raw Files:
- Locate the Clip:
- In your client dashboard, navigate to the video section where the raw file is available.
- Select Your Preferred Format:
- Choose the raw file option to download the original upload without any modifications.
- Download and Use:
- Save the file to your device.
- Use the raw video in your preferred editor for custom formatting or higher-resolution requirements.
This raw file download option ensures you have full control over your content, allowing you to maintain the original quality and format as needed.
